Istanbul, Dubai, Athens, Marrakesh: a few days, one city, and the flight to match.
A short break works on three or four nights, provided you are not trying to see everything. You pick a district, settle into it, and move out from there on foot or by local transport.
Istanbul and Dubai are served from Morocco by direct flights from Casablanca, which makes them easy to fit into a long weekend. Athens usually takes one connection.
It is the format that combines best with something else: two nights in Istanbul before Cappadocia, two days in Athens before the islands, Dubai before or after an evening in the desert.
